Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 14, 2026
Short version: Nursly has no accounts. Your shift calendar, pay rates and earnings history are stored on your iPhone. We use a few trusted services to understand how the app is used, to process subscriptions and to receive feedback you choose to send. We don't sell your data, show ads or track you across other apps and websites.
This Privacy Policy explains how the Nursly iOS app ("the App") and the website nursly.app ("the Website") handle information. The App and the Website are operated by Dmytro Chirva ("we", "us"). By using the App or the Website you agree to this policy.
1. Information stored on your device
The shifts, shift types, templates, notes, pay rates, differentials, tax settings and earnings you enter are stored locally on your iPhone, inside the App's storage and a shared container used by the App's widgets. We do not upload this information to our servers. It is included in your device's own iCloud or computer backups if you have them enabled, which are governed by Apple.
2. Usage analytics
To understand which features are useful and where people get stuck, the App sends usage events to Amplitude, using Amplitude's EU data center. These events include, for example:
- screens and features used (such as onboarding steps, adding a shift, opening statistics or the subscription screen);
- answers you give during onboarding, such as your role (for example RN or CNA), the challenge you chose, and the hourly rate and overtime hours you entered;
- technical information such as device model, iOS version, app version, language, and an approximate location (country or region) derived from your IP address;
- a random identifier generated for your installation.
Analytics data is pseudonymous: it is not linked to your name, email address or Apple ID. We use it only to improve the App.
3. Subscriptions and purchases
Payments for Nursly Pro are processed by Apple. We never receive your payment card details. Subscription status is managed through RevenueCat, which receives a random app user identifier and your purchase history (such as which plan you bought, trial status and renewal dates) to confirm access to Pro features.
4. Feedback you send us
When you use Help & Feedback in the App:
- Report a Bug, Contact Support and other messages are stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore). A message includes the text you write, your email address only if you choose to add it, and technical details that help us investigate: language and region setting, time zone, app version, device model and iOS version.
- Feature requests and votes are handled by WishKit, which stores the requests you submit and your votes together with a random identifier.
If you email us directly, we receive your email address and the content of your message. We use feedback only to reply to you and improve the App.
5. Device permissions
- Calendars — only if you use calendar export or sync. Nursly adds your shifts to your system calendar (and can create a "Nurse Shifts" calendar). Calendar data stays on your device and in your calendar account.
- Alarms (iOS 26.1 and later) — to ring the Shift Alarm before your shifts. Alarms are scheduled on your device.
- Notifications — shift reminders, earnings updates and overtime alerts are scheduled locally on your device.
You can change any permission at any time in iOS Settings.
6. What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your personal information.
- We don't show ads, and the App doesn't use advertising identifiers or track you across other companies' apps and websites.
- We don't require an account, a name or an email address to use the App.
7. Data retention and deletion
Data on your device stays until you delete it. You can delete individual shifts, or all of them in Settings → Data Management → Delete All Shifts. Deleting the App removes its data from your device. Feedback messages are kept as long as needed to handle them and improve the App. Analytics data is kept in aggregated or pseudonymous form for product analysis. To ask us to delete feedback or analytics associated with your installation, email us (see section 13).
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live — for example in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia or California — you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority. Because we don't run accounts, we may need a few details (for example the approximate date you sent feedback) to find information related to you. We don't sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on our legitimate interests to run analytics and handle feedback, and on performance of a contract to provide subscriptions.
9. International transfers
Our service providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union. They use safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses where required.
10. This website
The Website doesn't use cookies and doesn't show ads. If we enable visit statistics, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn't use cookies or track you across websites and collects aggregated information such as pages visited, referring website, country, and browser and device type (Cloudflare's Privacy Policy). The Website is hosted on GitHub Pages, which may process technical data such as your IP address to deliver pages and keep them secure (GitHub's Privacy Statement).
11. Children
Nursly is designed for working healthcare professionals and is not directed to children under 16. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Changes
We may update this policy as the App changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
